Accommodation for LSE Summer School 2021

Stay in halls while you're at the LSE Summer School

Choose great value, central London accommodation. All four halls are within easy travel distance to LSE and you'll stay with lots of fellow students. You can book as soon as you have your course offer.

The hall was centrally located and the rooms were lovely. But the best is that you get to share with other students on your course, so it's super easy to socialise and enjoy London together.

New rules for quarantine

The UK Government will be releasing a travel update in the evening on Thursday, 24 June 2021. We will contact all students starting on Friday 25 June morning.

From 17 May 2021, what you need to do depends on the country you have been in the 10 days prior to your arrival. You must follow these rules even if you have been vaccinated. If you have been in a country or territory on the:

  • green list: you must take a COVID-19 test on day 2
  • amber list: you must quarantine in the place you’re staying and take 2 COVID-19 tests
  • red list - please check UK Government website
  • non-red list - must follow government advice on quarantine (quarantine at home for 10 full days on arrival and getting tested on days 2 and 8 from your arrival).

These tests must be booked in a 'testing package' provided by the UK government - they cannot be provided by LSE. In addition, you can also take a PCR test 5 days after your arrival which, if negative, releases an individual from quarantine. LSE uses Future Health Techonologies Ltd. that you can input on your government forms for Test to Release.

We guarantee that a room for quarantine purposes and a complimentary Test to Release (if you select Future Health Technologies Ltd. from the list of official providers when you book that test) will be available for each Summer School student who needs it.

Arrival dates for quarantine accommodation are fixed. They are:

  • 25 or 26 July 2021 - The nights between 25 and 31 July are offered on a complimentary basis
  • Arrivals before 25 July will be charged extra at the standard daily rate for the room type booked
  • At the moment we are not taking quarantine bookings for session three. We will contact all session three students to offer accommodation by 16 July.

Find more information on quarantine bookings, please see the Quarantine bookings (updated 11 May 2021) section below on this page.

We strongly recommend you take a Covid test before arriving at the hall for your safety and that of other guests and staff.
