Alison is a specialist in organisation culture, corporate brand and reputation. She founded and was chief executive of a consultancy business for 23 years until 2019 and is now an investor and portfolio non-executive director.
She is an Emeritus Governor of LSE and was a member of Court prior to this. She is also a co-founder of the Hayek Programme at LSE and sponsor of the library digitisation programme which enables library access without physical, geographical or financial boundaries.
Alison is active in sport and sport governance having served on the boards of British Showjumping, and British Equestrian. She is also a trustee of a charity for adults with autism and learning disabilities which supports its members in activities and learning new skills. In these roles she has been enthusiastic in facilitating para and disability sport. Recently she has been appointed as a trustee of the Jobs Foundation. For nearly 20 years, she has been active in the campaign to support and encourage women to stand for the UK Parliament.
Professionally, Alison is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Her work on brand, reputation and organisation culture has been published in international text books and peer-reviewed journals and is widely cited.
