Meena Bose is Professor of Political Science, Executive Dean for Public Policy and Public Service Programs, Director of the Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency and the Peter S. Kalikow Chair in Presidential Studies at Hofstra University. She is author of the American Government: Institutions and Policies and of The Paradoxes of the American Presidency. Professor Bose is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jeffrey K. Tulis is Professor of Government at The University of Texas at Austin. His interests bridge the fields of political theory and American politics. His book, The Rhetorical Presidency received the American Political Science Association's Legacy Award in 2018 and has been described as "one of the two or three most important and perceptive works written by a political scientist in the twentieth century.” He is also co-author of the 2018 book, Legacies of Losing in American Politics.
