About me

Andrea’s research explores structural change in the Italian economy post-1945, with special focus on the long-term impact of radical protests in the 1970s. Drawing from theories of economic growth, Labour Economics, and Political Economy, his thesis investigates the influence of labour market institutions on technical change and human capital accumulation.

Andrea has also researched spatial inequalities and development, focusing on public subsidies in Southern Italy since 1950. Building on frequent collaboration with researchers in Italy, Andrea has published in Italian journals and books about economic geography and business history.

Andrea holds an MPhil in Economic and Social History (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, where he was a student of St Antony’s College. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Management (cum laude) from LUISS University, Rome.
