We may sometimes find ourselves reflecting on what might make us happier – perhaps if we could be richer, or if we had a better job. Launching on Monday 30 October 2023, the new LSE podcast Get Happier explores what we can do right now to be happier in our daily lives.
From the first episode “G is for Go”, on how to break free from harmful habits, to “R is for Reflection”, an exploration of how to handle societal pressures, each ten-minute episode, spelling out the podcast’s title “GET HAPPIER”, identifies a different barrier to everyday happiness, and provides insights and evidence on how we can achieve more contentment in modern life.
The series of ten episodes is hosted by Professor Paul Dolan, Professor of Behavioural Science at LSE and author of the bestselling books Happiness By Design: Finding Pleasure and Purpose in Everyday Life and Happy Ever After: A Radical New Approach to Living Well.
Speaking on the new podcast series, Professor Dolan says: “There's no one size fits all approach when it comes to being happier. But there are some important lessons that we can all learn and apply that I talk about in this podcast to help you navigate your own way towards being happier.”
The podcast will be free to all listeners and is supported by the London School of Economics and Political Science and the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
