The Department is involved in hosting an extensive series of events, ranging from research seminars to public lectures.

Research Seminars

Our research seminar series occurs during the Autumn, Winter, and Spring terms and is tailored for academic staff and research students. INSIGHTS series

Showcasing theory in practice, the Department runs the INSIGHTS speaker series during the academic year inviting leading practitioners to discuss the latest topical issues on accounting and finance and hosted by Dr Julia Morley, MSc Programme Director.

Accounting Research EXCHANGE series

Leading accounting research with real-world impact.

The EXCHANGE series exposes accounting students to the latest departmental research on accounting regulation, business groups, corporate culture, and responsible investing.

Accounting Graduate Weekend to Cambridge

Join us for a whistle-stop trip to the historic city of Cambridge! Tickets include travel to/from LSE, one-night at the Hilton Cambridge City Hotel, all meals, activities and tours around the city. The weekend is a great opportunity to get to know fellow classmates and faculty.

Open to Accounting postgraduate (Diploma/MSc) and Accounting research students only.

LSE Accounting Students' Ball

2024/25: The annual Accounting Students' Ball will take place in March 2025. Date and venue to be confirmed. Tickets will go on sale from January 2025. The event is open to undergraduate and postgraduate Accounting students only.

Extra-curricular activities for Accounting Students throughout the Term

The Departments runs several socials - 'extra-curricular' activities throughout the academic year to enhance students' experience of their time with the Department and being in London. These events allow for inter-year and programme engagements include.

MRes/PhD in Accounting Information Session

Join our PhD Programme Directors to learn more about the MRes/PhD in Accounting programme at LSE. This session will include information and advice about making an application, funding and the programme structure followed by Q&A with current PhD students and faculty.

LSE Undergraduate Open Day 2024

The next Undergraduate Open Day will take place in April 2024. The Open Day is a good way to see the campus and what has to offer in addition to learning about the BSc Accounting and Finance programme and meeting current students on the course.
