Africa Internship Programme

Africa Internship Programme

The Africa Internship Programme was designed to support LSE African graduate students and recent alumni to undertake a funded short-term work-experience opportunity.

The programme is targeted at students who have the intention of continuing their career on the African continent post-LSE or who are interested in working on African issues.

What is the Africa Internship Programme?

Expanding on our objective to engage with employers, the LSE Africa Internship Programme supports selected students who have the intention of continuing their career on the African continent post-LSE or who are interested in working on African issues throughout their career. It provides a learning opportunity for LSE students and recent alumni in the early stages of their career.

The virtual or hybrid internship programme is for residents of Africa currently participating in post-graduate programmes at LSE or who have completed a post-graduate programme at LSE in the past two years. The internships run between four weeks and six months. The programme is also open to current post-graduate students or recent alumni of the past two years who hold a dual residency with an African country but may normally reside outside of the continent.
