Dr. Albert Feliu is a health psychologist and a biologist, and works as a postdoctoral researcher (Sara Borrell; Instituto de Salud Carlos III) in Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona, Spain).
He has published more than 40 papers on clinical efficacy and cost-utility of third-wave cognitive behavioural therapies in chronic pain and psychiatric populations (i.e. fibromyalgia, major depression, and borderline personality disorder) and on psychometric research. He is also interested in assessing both the psychological and the biological mechanisms underpinning the efficacy of these cognitive-behavioural interventions.
In this regard, some of his previous and ongoing projects incorporated blood- and neuroimage-based biomarkers as objective measures to better understand how these treatments may reach clinical outcomes. He has also led and collaborated in several psychometric validations of clinical and process measures adapted to the Spanish language.
Albert is an associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Clinical and Health Psychology Department).
