Joanna is an interdisciplinary, qualitative researcher focusing on a broad range of complex, cross-cutting social policy challenges, including health, wellbeing and prevention; health and social care integration; migration; aging and fertility.
Joanna’s previous work includes evaluating prevention effects in adult social care (ASC), evaluating Better Care Fund and European network on cost effectiveness and quality in long-term care (CEQUA). More recently Joanna has been involved in The Social Care COVID Resilience & Recovery project which draws together learning from international experiences of long-term care systems COVID-19 responses, and she has contributed to The LTCcovid International Living report. Joanna has also been involved in Evaluating Support for Older People with moderate care needs project (MSMOP) and Supporting Adult Social Care Innovation (SASCI) project.
Joanna has a PhD is Social Policy from the LSE and an MA in International Studies from Leeds University, she is also a qualified teacher.
