About me

Will is a part-time Research Assistant within CPEC at LSE. His work has primarily been centred around the Social Care COVID Recovery & Resilience project, with a focus on understanding what interventions have been studied in long-term care during the pandemic. In 2022, he was awarded a NIHR SSCR Career Development Award to focus on developing his qualitative skills, and drafting a PhD application.

Will is currently a first-year student on the MPhil/PhD in Social Policy programme. The working title of his thesis is: Trade union organising in England adult social care since the 2022 cost of living crisis.

Will completed an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Climate Change: Environment, Science and Policy at King’s College London. Related to these studies and his current work at CPEC, Will's interests lie in models of ownership, resilience, the relationship between knowledge and practice, and unionisation within the long-term care sector. Outside of work he has been involved in campaigns focusing on climate change, unionisation, and renting in London.
