Ilias Kyriopoulos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy at the London School of Economics. He previously worked as a Fellow and Research Associate at the LSE. Prior to joining the Department, he was a Health Economist at the Athens School of Public Health. Ilias has also conducted research for or acted as a consultant to international governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the European Commission, the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank.
His research mainly focuses on how economic uncertainty and policy impact health and health systems. His interests also include inequalities in health and health care and the economics of mental health and well-being. His work has been published in various journals, including Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Social Science & Medicine etc.
Ilias holds a PhD in Health Economics and Policy from the LSE. He has been an Onassis Foundation Scholar and a Scholar of the Greek State Scholarship Foundation.
