Jonas Weinert is an MPhil/PhD candidate in Health Policy and Health Economics in the Department of Health Policy. His PhD research is focused on the formation of health care behaviours and heterogeneity during health crises. He aims to understand the economic, political, cultural, and social formation of preferences for preventative behaviour, and vaccination intentions.
Jonas’ other research projects revolve around social protection, health security, and conflict settings in international development.
Jonas holds a BA degree in Political Science, and Anthropology from the University of Tübingen (Germany), and an MSc degree in Global Health Policy from the LSE. After completing his MSc, Jonas went on to do impact evaluation research for international organisations such as the World Bank, or the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Malaria, and TB.
