Ratio Magazine

LSE Lawyers' Alumni Group

The LSE Lawyers’ Alumni Group brings together  LSE alumni who studied law at LSE and/or practise or have an interest in law. Membership of the group is free and all interested alumni are welcome to join. Through its range of initiatives, the group provides a sociable forum for networking and continued learning, and provides valuable alumni support.

LSE Lawyers’ Alumni Group Annual Dinner

The annual dinner is one of the group's flagship events. It is a popular opportunity for members to socialise in a formal setting. After-dinner speakers have included: Shadow Attorney General Emily Thornberry M; Lady Justice Smith, Court of Appeal; Peter Sutherland KCMG, Attorney General of the Republic of Ireland; Lord Falconer, the Lord Chancellor; Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss, President, Family Division; Lord Goldsmith, the Attorney General; Rt Hon Lord Justice Robin Jacob.

 LSE Lawyers’ Alumni Group Seminars and Lectures

The group engages in current legal debate through its bespoke programme of events, organised in collaboration with LSE Law School. Alumni, faculty members and external speakers are invited to present on a wide range of topics, and events enjoy attendance from LAG members and affiliates as well as the wider public.

LSE Careers Services - Alumni Services and Student Engagement

How can you work with LSE Careers?

We warmly encourage alumni to participate in our activities aimed at supporting students in the early stages of their careers. Both LSE Law School and LSE Careers run a range of programmes and events with alumni throughout the year, from mentoring sessions to talks and panel discussions on a wide range of topics. If you would like to get involved, please contact our Careers Consultant, Elizabeth Holden (E.Holden@lse.ac.uk).

Would your employer/ organisation like to take part in an event?

LSE Careers also organises events with employers directly. As well as helping students learn about different sectors and skills, these events can help your company raise its profile at LSE.Please contact the Employer Engagement Team for more information.

LSE Careers services for alumni

LSE alumni can access LSE Careers for up to five years after graduation. You are also able to access resources and information on the LSE Careers website. LSE Careers can help with career queries, for example career planning and decision making, CV writing and practice interviews. The Executive LLM (ELLM) Alumni Association

The ELLM is a flexible postgraduate degree for working professionals who have obtained at least three years’ post-degree work experience. Delivered by our world-leading faculty, the ELLM allows individuals to engage in the highest-quality postgraduate education and continuing to work in full-time employment. Students also benefit from membership to the close-knit network of ELLM alumni.

You can find out more about transcripts here, including how to order hard copies or download a digital version if you graduated after 1993. If you need further assistance with documentation you can also contact the SSC by using their enquiry form (and select Results and Awards Team).
