LSE Law at the London School of Economics & Political Science is pleased to announce its second workshop for young EU lawyers. The workshop, for doctoral students working in all fields of EU law, will take place on Thursday 1 June 2017 at LSE law.
Doctoral students are invited to submit a paper on any EU law topic. LSE faculty members including Damian Chalmers, Michael Wilkinson, Orla Lynskey, Jan Komarek, Floris de Witte, Jo Murkens, and Carol Harlow will be on hand to comment on the papers selected and to give advice on publication and career strategy. The participants will be invited to publish their papers in a special section in the German Law Journal.
The workshop will take place on 1 June 2017 and will conclude with a dinner to which all participants are invited. The LSE Law Department will cover overnight accommodation for two nights. Travel costs will not be reimbursed, but can hopefully be covered by the student’s home institution or other sources.
Abstracts of no more than one page (including a CV) should be submitted to f.e.de-witte@lse.ac.uk byFriday 3 March. Inquiries may be made at the same address. Proposals will be considered on the basis of academic merit as well as topical interest. Those invited to the workshop will be required to submit a full paper by 15th May 2017.
