Professor Andrew Murray has been appointed specialist advisor to the House of Lords Communications Committee Inquiry "The Internet: to regulate or not to regulate?".
The inquiry will explore how the regulation of the internet should be improved, including through better self-regulation and governance, and whether a new regulatory framework for the internet is necessary or whether the general law of the UK is adequate.
Professor Murray is the author of a number of books and articles on the subject including "The Regulation of Cyberspace: Control in the Online Environment".
Details about the scope of the inquiry can be found here.
