The Report of the Commission on Taxation and Welfare, chaired by Professor Niamh Moloney, has been launched by Ireland’s Minister for Finance. The Report is called Foundations for the Future and the press release relating to the launch can also be found here. The Commission was established by the Irish Government to independently consider how best the taxation and welfare systems can support economic activity and promote increased employment and prosperity in Ireland. An outline of the Commission’s work can be found here.
