Genevieve Heng is a PhD Candidate in Law at the LSE. Her current research explores how copyright law and digital regulation work together to influence the digital creative process as a whole, owing to imperfect private enforcement initiatives by rightsholders.

She holds an LLB (First Class Honours) from the University of Bristol and an LLM (Distinction) in Intellectual Property from the LSE. In her postgraduate studies at the LSE, she wrote a dissertation on algorithmic enforcement of copyright by online platforms and its interaction with the EU Copyright Directive.
