ELLM: Application process and fees

The Executive LLM programme offers a powerful combination of information and inspiration. The teaching has been superb and the calibre of the student body is excellent.

Pre-requisites for admission

The Executive LLM has three pre-requisites for admission:

― You must have obtained very good grades in your law studies. The grades required for admission will be tailored to the system of legal education in the countries from which applicants have obtained, or will obtain, their qualifications. Places will normally be offered to applicants with the equivalent of a high 2:1 in a UK Bachelor of Laws Degree.  Students who do not have a law degree or a law conversion course (such as the Graduate Diploma in Law), may still apply, but they need to demonstrate a high level of professional or academic experience in areas closely related to the subjects they wish to study. Each application will be considered on its own merits.

― You must have had at least three years post-degree experience in legal practice at the time of commencement of the programme. This could, for example, be in a law firm, government, a company, a non-governmental organisation or international organisation.

― If you are not a native English speaker, you may need to provide evidence of your command of English.

― You should include your test scores, if available, in the relevant section of the application form. If you receive an offer of admission, it will be subject to proof of your score. English tests must be less than two years old at the time of Registration on the programme. If you have not yet taken the test, your application can be considered in its absence, but any offer will be conditional on your achieving the required score.
