Inaugural Student and Alumni Dinner 2017
On December 13, 2017 we held the first Executive LLM Student & Alumni Dinner at the marvelous Main Hall and Luncheon Room, Inner Temple. The dinner was attended by Executive LLM students, alumni and faculty members.
The guest speaker was Sir Ross Cranston, former High Court Judge, MP, Solicitor General and a current Professor of Law at the LSE. He regaled the crowd with a fascinating talk about the history of the study of law at LSE. His message was clear: all of us are expected to live up to—or exceed—LSE’s historically high expectations. Nothing less is expected of LSE law graduates.
At the event there was also a brief welcome from the Programme Director, Professor David Kershaw, as well as from the ELLM Alumni Management Committee Chair, Mr Dimos Adamos.
The alumni dinner was a signature event arranged by the newly formed ELLM Alumni Association and the Executive LLM team. The Association aims to create a dedicated community of LSE graduates who not only wish to maintain their connection to LSE but also strive to provide a forum for career opportunities, continuing education, and social events.
We hope that in 2017 we started what will become a tradition for an annual alumni gathering which will be a valuable forum for reconnecting as more and more students enroll in the Executive LLM Alumni Association. See you next December!
