Jelena is a Health Policy Research Associate at LSE Health Digital. She holds an MA in Health Management, Health Economics, and Health Supply from the University of Bremen and a MSc in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health from Maastricht University. She has worked as a research assistant at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg, the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health, and the University of Coimbra, where her research comprised different public health topics, such as student health, digital health, and urban health. She also interned with the German Development Cooperation, where she worked together with the Global Fund, GAVI, Expertise France and several NGOs on health systems strengthening and local vaccine manufacturing in Africa. Since 2021, she works part-time as an assistant consultant for the Institute for Social Research, Consultancy and Organisational Development (Germany), where her focus lies on the monitoring and evaluation of projects. Jelena’s current research within LSE Health Digital focuses on the intersection between of artificial intelligence and value-based healthcare.
