Pavithra is a Research Officer on the LIFELONG project at LSE Health under Dr Emilie Courtin. The research aim is to understand the effects of social intervention in early life that can slow down biological ageing.

She was previously a student at Imperial College London where she received her MSc in Statistics (Biostatistics). When she started her academic journey, she focused on advancing her statistical expertise in global health. She has experience in modelling epidemiological data in case of heterogeneity and other population specifications. During her master’s program, she undertook an independent research project that culminated in her master’s thesis. Her dissertation topic was ‘Causal Inference Using Meta-Analysis by Combining Observational (n-RCTs) and Randomised Studies (RCTs)' where she adeptly combined n-RCTs and RCTs to comprehensively assess the efficacy of eight COVID-19 vaccines across various doses and endpoints. Pavithra also has experience working with mortality data in the insurance industry and using different machine learning techniques to understand consumer behaviour in the same. She also holds a BSc in Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India.
