Jim is the Head of Projects and Operations for the School of Public Policy. He leads on the development and activities to support the growth of the department, provides administrative oversight for the department’s departmental research units and manages resources. He also oversees the Events, Communications, Research and Alumni (ECAR) team and the Marketing and Student Recruitment team. He is the main point of contact for departmental scholarships, visiting appointments, technology needs and space allocation. He acts as secretary for several of the SPP’s committees, including the Department Management Committee (DMC) and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.

Prior to joining LSE in 2016, Jim worked at Imperial College and Southampton Solent University. He received his PhD in English Literature from the University of Southampton in 2014.
