Co-creation and strategic decision-making in dementia care – A case study
I hold a BSc in Public Administration and International Institutions Management and an MSc in Economics and Management of Public Administration and International Institutions both from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy). Currently I am a PhD candidate in Social Policy at LSE.
I worked in the area of monitoring and evaluation of EU co-funded programmes, both in academia and for a consulting firm in Italy before joining the Department of Management at LSE as research officer. I have contributed to a number of research studies spanning different areas in health and social care. I have been involved in a project investigating the impact of diabetes prevention in England (funded by the NIHR CLAHRC North Thames), I was part of the team who developed the STAR approach (Socio-Technical Allocation of Resources) which helps commissioners/payors and service planners increase the value delivered by the health care system and I supported a pilot study of the STAR approach at the Global Fund. Currently I am contributing to a five year action research project aiming to improve dementia care in an English local health economy by using co-creation (a first related publication is available here). My PhD project is nested within this broader study and focuses on how the co-creation process unfolds and on its impact.
