Corruption Rules Beyond the State and the Problems of Transnational Criminal Law

The Laboratory for Advanced Research on the Global Economy invites you to this presentation with former Lab Visiting Fellow, Dr Radha Ivory. 

How should we conceptualise rules on corruption beyond the state? From what perspectives should we study such norms and assess their impacts - on individual offenders, third parties to crime, and communities that host international investment? This seminar explores the opportunitites for inter- and intra-disciplinary research on transnational attempts to order economic transgression.

About the Speaker:

Dr Radha Ivory is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Queensland, Australia and former Lab Visiting Fellow.  She teaches company law and researches problems at the intersection of criminal law, public international law, and corporate governance.  Her PhD thesis (University of Basel, 2012) was published as Corruption, Asset Recovery, and the Protection of Property in Public International Law: The Human Rights of Bad Guys (Cambridge University Press, 2014).  Her current projects concern transnational criminal law theory and the transnational legal ordering of foreign bribery prevention.
