LSE Access to Education Undergraduate Scholarships

LSE offers awards which can cover full tuition fees and living costs for those holding an offer of admission to an LSE undergraduate programme, who meet the eligibility criteria. 

Eligibility

Students in one of the following categories are eligible to be considered for one of these scholarships:

  • asylum seekers, children of asylum seekers or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children who are seeking asylum in the UK and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE
  • those who have been granted refugee status or humanitarian protection, but do not have settled status in the UK,  or their children, and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE
  • those who are resident in the UK with some form of limited leave to remain or temporary status, or their dependants if under 18, and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE
  • applications are encouraged from Palestinian students who were resident in Gaza or the West Bank prior to commencing their studies at LSE or have been otherwise affected by the war and humanitarian crisis. A total of £250,000 is ring-fenced for Access to Education applicants who meet the qualifying criteria. Please contact us for further information. 

Priority will be given to those who are unable to access funding from Student Finance England (or its national equivalent In Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), but each case will be assessed on need.

Scholarship amount

Full and partial awards will be made to cover tuition fees (either at the Home or Overseas rate) and living costs for the length of the undergraduate programme.
