The Ambassador of Spain to the UK and NI will take to the stage at LSE to discuss the future of British-Spanish bilateral relations.

José Pascual Marco, Ambassador of Spain to the UK, will reflect on the opportunities and challenges for British-Spanish bilateral relations in an increasingly volatile world. He will reflect on the events shaping the current political situation in a year of elections in the UK, the US and the EU, and conflicts that are shaping the global order, just weeks after ending a very successful presidency of the Council of the EU that allowed Spain to shape the EU response to the different challenges of the global stage. From the policy towards Ukraine and Gaza to the new legislation on Artificial Intelligence, this 2024 will be deeply affected not only by the Spanish Presidency, but, in a broader scope, by the organization in Granada, of the European Political Community. This 2024 will be a year of challenges and opportunities, and strengthening the UK-Spain bilateral relations will help us to face the first ones and to grab the latter.
