About me

I have lived in London since 2000 and taught German for almost as long; I also teach some Latin and have worked with singers and actors as an accent coach, having studied acting before finishing a BA in German studies in London. I teach at several institutions and have been with the LSE since 2014. I have taught both evening classes and part of a credit bearing module. I also tutor private students of all ages and levels to their specific needs when I am not busy with formal courses. I have an interest in accents and dialects, in all languages, etymology and general history and include as much cultural information in my teaching as time allows. I like to sing, travel, read and cook and am interested in photography and international music in all languages and of all folk traditions.

About the Language Centre

LSE is a centre for the study of the social sciences and this is reflected in its Language Centre.

Our courses focus on language and society, encouraging you to learn how to use language in the contexts you would like to live, study and work in. We teach people to speak languages, but also teach about language (socio-linguistics and intercultural communication) and offer a range of courses on literature and society.

We offer English for Academic Purposes programmes, BSc programmes a range of undergraduate degree courses that can be taken as part of a degree and a range of language options that can be taken outside of a degree programme. All programmes and courses relate language study and support to the fields of interest of social science students.
