Kyra Luchtenberg is as a Research Assistant at the LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security and the LSE Middle East Centre. Her research interests include conflict dynamics, security and development in the Middle East (Iraq, Syria and Lebanon), with a focus on forced displacement, transitional justice, collective memory and gender.
Kyra holds a MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies at King's College London. Her dissertation focused on IDP return processes to recently retaken areas in northern Iraq and their impact on the level of violence. She also holds an MSc in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University.
