The Centre for Women, Peace and Security Activists in Residence are activists, local leaders and practitioners from around the world working on the front line of women’s empowerment and human rights. The AiR programme ran in 2017.
Dr Kawkab Alwadeai is a researcher and trainer focused on women's human rights, gender-based violence, dialogue and peace. She has been working in the field of women's issues since 1996, and currently serves as a Counsellor for the Women National Committee in Yemen.
Raihana Diani is a women's rights activist from Aceh, Indonesia. She has worked for more than fifteen years on democracy, women’s rights, human rights and post conflict political transformation in Aceh.
Erika Rodríguez Gómez is a feminist activist and a defender of Human Rights. For over ten years she has promoted the rights of women and children, especially to prevent sexual violence, forced recruitment and the involvement of children in the armed conflict, with an emphasis on the most deeply affected areas in Colombia.
