Dr Michelle Callander's role at the UKRI GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub will manage relationships with Research Partner Organisations and Project Partners across multiple countries, and work closely with Regional Co-Directors and Managers to develop, review and monitor Hub policies that will realise engagement and collaboration across and beyond the Hub.

Michelle joins from the Commonwealth Secretariat, where she was delivering an education and youth development initiative to promote interfaith and intercultural understanding within Commonwealth member countries. Beginning her career as a researcher and research manager, Michelle spent several years in the civil service in Melbourne, Australia, managing education initiatives to improve outcomes for vulnerable and disengaged learners.
