Timing: Visiting Fellows may start at any time during the year, subject to agreement between each individual fellow and the Centre
Duration: Fellowships will normally run for between three and twelve months, but longer visits may be approved. Fellowships must be at least three months in duration, with at least two of the months being in term-time.
Status in the School: The title of Visiting Fellow is given to individuals from outside the School associated with School departments, institutes and Centres. Visiting Fellows have access to the facilities of the Centre, and will also be able to enjoy access to the facilities of LSE as a whole.
Funding: The Centre aims to put in place a funded programme to enable those with a genuine and active commitment to women, peace and security from around the world to spend time at LSE and actively engage with the Centre’s initiatives, irrespective of their financial means. Currently, however, we can only consider applications from those who already have (or expect to have) adequate financial support.
Computer facilities and desk space: Visiting Fellows will be provided with a LSE login and email address, and access to hot-desk space in the Institute of Global Affairs.
Accommodation: the School is not able to make any arrangements for living accommodation for visitors. The accommodation for students website, however, provides useful guidance on finding private rented housing.
