The Department of International History invites all alumni to stay in touch and join the LSE Alumni network. In this section you can find information on how to stay involved with the Department once you have graduated both through our events and social networks. We also explain the benefits of joining the LSE Alumni community and how to request references, transcripts and certificates.

Keep in Touch with the Department

The Department of International History has an active alumni community. We warmly invite all our graduates to stay in touch with the Department, attend our events and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram for the latest news and activities.

The Department holds several events at the LSE campus each year and our faculty members are involved in activities in London and around the world. By following us on our social networks, you will be able to stay up to date with our events as well as keep in touch with your old classmates and make new contacts with alumni from other years. LSE Alumni Network

LSE Alumni comprises more than 133,000 former students drawn from over 200 countries. Wherever you are in the world, you can get more from the global alumni network by registering with the LSE Alumni Online community, a hub through which LSE alumni can stay in touch with the School, network with one another and access a range of exclusive benefits and services.

By registering and keeping your details updated, you can receive the monthly Alumni Echo update and the annual LSE Connect magazine - while staying up to date with the School’s thought leadership, alumni news and events of interest.

You will also have access to the Alumni Mentoring Network, which connects LSE alumni who are looking for career guidance with fellow alumni who are experts in their field.

If you have completed your course in the last 5 years you can also benefit from careers advice through LSE Careers, and gain access to the LSE CareerHub, as well as a range of career planning and job search support services.

With your new Alumni/Library ID Card, y ou will have continued access to LSE buildings , including the library.

You can join the Student Union Gym at reduced prices and enjoy access to quality accommodation with preferential rates worldwide.

Finally, you can attend LSE Public Lectures and where available book tickets allocated to alumni on the Alumni Events Calendar.

References, Transcripts and Certificates

If you are an alumnus of the Department of International History and you would like a reference from one of our academic staff, please complete this reference request form and submit it by email to the respective person. You can find the staff's emails in our People's page. If said person is no longer with the department, please email it to the Professional Services Team. Do include as much information as possible as this makes it easier to write a meaningful reference. You must include all of your courses and all of your coursework and exam results.

Please allow several days for the reference to be written. Let us know if it must arrive by a certain date and if there are any other special requirements (e.g., sealed envelope).

Transcript requests are handled by the Student Services Centre (SSC). Please bear in mind that if you have graduated from 2010 you can access your transcripts electronically via Digitary.

All queries regarding transcripts should be directed to Registry Services on registry@lse.ac.uk.

Degree certificates are issued either by the Student Services Centre or by the University of London
