Thesis: 'Civil War, Statebuilding, and Types of Armed Organisations in Southeast Asia'
I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Government. My research examines the organisational basis for rebellion, and how this has changed historically in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the early stages of nascent rebel group formation.
Prior to joining the LSE, I worked as a freelance correspondent in Bangkok where I covered the Thai military coup in 2014 and early steps towards democratisation in Myanmar, and later as the Danish business daily Dagbladet Børsen's correspondent in London covering Brexit and the Withdrawal Agreement negotiations with the EU. I hold an MSc in Comparative Politics from the LSE and a BA in Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
